Several NXT Recruits Test Positive For COVID-19
WWE is dealing with a COVID-19 outbreak inside its current training facility in Orlando, FL.
As first reported by Jon Alba, a COVID-19 outbreak has affected the NXT roster, with the belief that a Performance Center coach “accidentally spread it”.
The WWE Performance Center is currently undergoing renovations, and training has resumed at a warehouse nearby. WWE began remodelling their training facility after the company moved production to the ThunderDome inside Amway Center.
While names have not been revealed, people have been testing positive as recently of this weekend. Some within the facility have been more relaxed with wearing masks according to the report.
Source indicates some have gotten relaxed with mask wearing, especially in spots where some people congregate and there was concern over that.
The outbreak began the week of September 9 according to Fightful Select (subscription required). Several classes ended up being canceled, but “essential coaches” have remained.
The outbreak reportedly caused “significant changes to NXT programming over the last couple of weeks.”
As more details are known, an update will be provided.

WWE has dealt with dozens of of positive cases throughout the pandemic, with the a large number happening this past June. The company responded to the outbreak with testing all talent and staff prior to entering any facility. Positive cases have affected a number of WWE television tapings over the last few months.
