WWE Signs Former EVOLVE Star

Following the purchase of EVOLVE earlier this month, WWE has signed several wrestlers from the promotion.

According to PWInsider, Leon Ruff has signed an NXT deal with WWE. Ruff has been seen on WWE programming dating back to March, and recently had a feature video uploaded on WWE’s Performance Center Youtube channel.

Leon Ruff has appeared on RAW, SmackDown, 205 Live, and NXT programming.

Sean Ross Sapp of Fightful Select (subscription required) provided additional details on Ruff’s signing, stating he has been getting rave reviews from other talent, one main roster wrestler compared Ruff to an early Jeff Hardy.

WWE has signed additional former EVOLVE talent to contracts, those names have yet to be revealed.

Earlier this month, WWE acquired EVOLVE wrestling from Gabe Sapolsky and Sal Hamaoui for an undisclosed amount of the money.
