Matt Riddle is expected to transition from NXT to either RAW or SmackDown.

According to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer, WWE is planning on moving Matt Riddle to the main roster, with a debut coming soon.

Matt Riddle’s main roster debut right now is scheduled to be imminent, so his cage match with Timothy Thatcher could either be his blow-off or lead to it.

His move to the main roster could explain him and Timothy Thatcher losing the NXT Tag Team Championship to Imperium on the May 13 edition of NXT on USA.

Matt Riddle will face Timothy Thatcher this Wednesday in a “Cage Fight” on NXT television with Kurt Angle as the special guest referee.

Riddle signed with WWE in 2018, holding the NXT Tag Team Championship, as well as winning the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic alongside Pete Dunne.

It’s unknown which brand Riddle will end up on, or when his debut will take place.

As this story develops, more information will be provided.
