NXT Talent Frustrated Returning To Full-Time Training

Ever since the pandemic forced WWE to relocate to the Performance Center, there have been multiple outbreaks within the roster. This caused WWE to scrap plans of having NXT take part in last year’s Survivor Series, also putting an end to Raw Underground, which featured Performance Center trainees.

According to a report from Fightful Select (subscription required), ‘plenty’ of frustrated trainees at the Performance Center.

The report noted that WWE trainees recently returned to working at the Performance Center five days a week, despite the current COVID-19 pandemic.

The report went on to mention talent are only tested once a week, unlike other full-time WWE Superstars. WWE initially held virtual classes before gradually returning to a normal schedule.

Last fall, WWE reopened a renovated Performance Center, with many not feeling comfortable training due to the ongoing health crisis. Many trainees were upset with “COVID truthers’ on the NXT roster, who reportedly aren’t taking the crisis seriously.

WWE has faced many outbreaks since the pandemic began last Spring.
