Roderick Strong has been denied his WWE release, per a new report.

Fightful Select (subscription required) are reporting that Roderick Strong has been denied his WWE release, despite requesting it ‘multiple times’ over the past several months.

It was noted by Fightful that Strong has ‘grown frustrated’ over the past year, however has remained professional in his handling of WWE creative week-to-week.

Strong is the last Undisputed Era member left in WWE, with Adam Cole, Bobby Fish and Kyle O’Reilly all part of the ‘Undisputed Elite’ in All Elite Wrestling.

Strong is currently a member of NXT’s ‘The Diamond Mine’, however their manager Malcolm Bivens was among a handful of WWE releases last week. The group now consists of Strong, Ivy Nile and The Creed Brothers, despite initially being pitched to include Arturo Ruas, Hideki Suzuki, Taylor Rust and Strong’s wife Marina Shafir, all of which are no longer with WWE.

It was also noted by Fightful that Strong was pitched with a name change, to which he was opposed to. Many within the company expected Strong to be a part of the group of releases last week, with Dakota Kai and Malcolm Bivens already making it clear to WWE that they didn’t want to re-sign.

Roderick Strong last wrestled on the April 7th edition of NXTUK, where he came up short against NXTUK Champion Ilja Dragunov. WWE are said to have no plans to release Strong, and that he’s factored into current creative plans.
