Report: Sin Cara’s Release Request Not Approved By WWE

Update: 6:55 PM ET – According to PWInsider, Sin Cara’s release request has not been approved. He was originally scheduled to travel to television next week in Boston, but will be sent home following the WWE European tour.


Earlier today, Sin Cara announced he has has requested his release from WWE.

In a Twitter post, Sin Cara advised fans that he asked for his release from the company yesterday. Sin Cara is among WWE stars currently in Europe on tour.

Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that the word making its rounds among talent is that Sin Cara has interest working with MMA promotion Combates America. Alberto El Patron, who Sin Cara is close with is the the former president of the promotion based in New York.

Sin Cara’s WWE deal expires in 2022. No word if WWE will grant his release.
