WWE Intercontinental Champion Sami Zayn has been off television since Wrestlemania 36, where he defeated Daniel Bryan.

According to Post Wrestling, WWE is set to address the status of the Intercontinental Championship this week.

It’s unclear whether this will be done on SmackDown, where Sami Zayn has been competing, or RAW, due to new crossover ruling which is expected to be announced tonight.

Dave Meltzer noted in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter that Sami Zayn did not agree to return to work.

Sami Zayn won the WWE Intercontinental Championship on March 8 at Elimination Chamber, following a 3-on-1 handicap match against Braun Strowman.

WWE has allowed talent to refuse to work due to the on-going health crisis.
