Top Executive From WWE Released
WWE has terminated a top executive in the company this week, with more to possibly follow.
According to PWInsider, John Brody, who was Executive Vice President, Global Head of Sales and Partnerships and Head of International was released from WWE earlier this week. He was terminated on either Wednesday or Thursday.
John Brody was hired by WWE in 2014, working one year as a Strategic Consultant and Advisor. In 2015, Brody was promoted to head of WWE’s Global Sales and Partnerships division.
Last month, Brody’s department was shifted to fall under Stephanie McMahon, he then began reporting to her.
The report notes, “a significant portion of Brody’s team had been furloughed earlier this year and many were later let go.”
There has been rumblings of additional terminations in the company from an Executive level. Those have yet to be confirmed as of this writing.
