Report: Update On Cody Rhodes’ Presentation Ahead Of WWE Return

Cody Rhodes will reportedly be making his WWE return at this year’s WrestleMania.

Rhodes will reportedly be facing Seth Rollins’ at next weekend’s WrestleMania 38 from Dallas, Texas. Despite not yet making his return to WWE television, WWE have referenced Rhodes on recent episodes of Raw, and when paired with Seth Rollins’ struggle to get a match at WrestleMania, everything points towards a match between the two at the show of shows.

Upon the news of Rhodes’ signing being revealed, fans took to Twitter to question whether Rhodes will keep his most recent look he used in AEW, or go back to one of the numerous gimmicks he had during his time in WWE.

WrestleVotes have provided an update on the situation, noting that two ‘high profile’ people within WWE were adamant to Vince McMahon that once Rhodes returns to the company, he should maintain the look he used in AEW. This includes presentation, ring gear, theme music, pyro and several other features.

The report from WrestleVotes additionally noted that the impact of the ‘American Nightmare’ crossing the line is ‘very significant’.

Fightful Select (subscription required) reports Cody is not on the internal script for this week’s edition of Monday Night RAW, but have been told “teases were set to continue”. 

Rhodes is scheduled to fly into Cincinnati/North Kentucky on Monday, but it’s unknown that what type of business he’s partaking in, 

Rollins addressed his reported match Rhodes during last week’s episode of Raw, as loud ‘Cody’ chants were heard from the crowd during his segment.

“Rumors are a lot of fun, but rumors don’t make moments and I am living for my WrestleMania moment.”

As of right now, the match between Rhodes and Rollins is scheduled for WrestleMania Sunday, however this could quickly change as seen in the past with WWE’s plans.
