Report: WWE Adds An Additional Year To Jeff Hardy’s Contract Due To Injury

WWE has added additional time to Jeff Hardy’s contract.

Fightful Select is reporting that Jeff Hardy’s current deal with WWE has been extended for “at least” another year due to injury.

WWE made the decision to roll over Matt and Jeff Hardy’s contract earlier this year into 2020. The company invoked a clause in their current deal to roll it over an additional year.

The decision to add additional time to Jeff Hardy’s contract came after WWE opted to roll over his and Matt’s current deals.

Jeff Hardy has been out of action since April, and underwent surgery in May to repair multiple lingering issues in his right knee. Hardy is expected back in November per WWE’s internal injury report.

Matt Hardy’s contract is up in March, unless he is injured ahead of that.

WWE has the ability to freeze talent contract if injured, and add additional time. The company added an extra 6 months to Luke Harper’s contract, which was originally due this November.
