WWE may have delayed this year’s Draft.

WWE’s annual Draft between Raw and SmackDown was rumored to be taking place in September, following this year’s SummerSlam.

However according to Andrew Zarian of ‘Mat Men Pro Wrestling’, WWE has delayed the Draft by a month, which would place it in October. Zarian noted that the potential dates for the draft are during the 10/1 and 10/4 or 10/4 and 10/8 editions of Raw and SmackDown.

It should be noted that the October 4 edition of Raw is scheduled to be the red brand’s 30th season premiere.

The reason behind the reported change wasn’t noted, WWE has announced a UK SmackDown tour for mid-September, so a change in rosters could have caused issues with travel.

The past two WWE Drafts have focused on Raw and SmackDown being broadcasted on separate providers (FOX and USA Network), with the 2019 Draft featuring reactions from the broadcaster’s meeting rooms.

Last year’s WWE Draft included Big E splitting from The New Day, Bianca Belair beginning her rise to the top by moving to SmackDown, and Seth Rollins moving to SmackDown for the first time.

WWE is set to return to the road with this Friday’s edition of SmackDown in Texas, before the Money In The Bank pay-per-view on Sunday. The WWE Universe could be in for some huge surprises this weekend, which you can read by clicking here.
