Plans To Reveal SmackDown Hacker During Monday Night RAW

WWE is planning to tie up loose-ends, revealing the identity of the infamous SmackDown hacker during Monday Night RAW.

Fightful Select (subscription required), has obtained details on early versions of creative for Monday Night RAW this week. The plans currently have Ali revealing himself as the SmackDown hacker in a promo scheduled for the show.

It should be noted, this reveal is not intended to be a focal point of the Retribution angle, but as a way to “tie up loose ends”.

WWE first introduced the hacker storyline this past spring, with several production interruptions occurring during Friday Night SmackDown. Vignettes aired during programming with a mysterious figure watching WWE stars. The storyline was eventually dropped, and the identity of the mystery person was never formally revealed.

Reports emerged over the summer indicating Ali was behind the character, who at the time was off WWE television.

When Ali was revealed as the leader of Retribution, it was not confirmed WWE would connect the hacker storyline to the stable, this seems to now be the case.

Last week’s edition of Monday Night RAW was scheduled to have a segment with Ali explaining why he aligned himself with Retribution, but was dropped with no explanation from the company.
