Internal Talks Suggest Interest In CM Punk Appearing On Future Episode

WWE Hall Of Famer Steve Austin recently returned to the WWE Network with a brand new interview series titled “‘Stone Cold’ Steve Austin: Broken Skull Sessions”.

The first episode in the series featured a rare long-form sit down interview with Mark “The Undertaker” Calaway.

During this past weekend’s Survivor Series festivities in Chicago, WWE brass began discussing future episodes of the show, including one featuring CM Punk, according to Mike Johnson of PWInsider.

It’s unknown if WWE has reached out to Punk regarding an up-coming episode, or if it’s simply an idea that is being tossed around.

WWE’s relationship with CM Punk has been strained for several years, recently the bridge has been gapped with Punk joining FS1’s ‘WWE Backstage’ program.

Based on Vince McMahon’s negative reaction to Seth Rollins teasing a feud with CM Punk during this past Monday’s RAW, it seems that Punk’s name is still a touchy subject with WWE officials.

CM Punk was not a guest on this past week’s WWE Backstage. His role as an analyst on the program is occasional according to FOX.
