Over the weekend, PWInsider confirmed WWE’s next pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia would be held in February.

The original date reported was Thursday, February 20, 2020. In an update, WWE has decided to push the date back a week, the pay-per-view is now scheduled to take place on Thursday, February 27, 2020.

The report indicates creative decisions for the event have yet to be locked in.

WWE’s pay-per-view in Saudi Arabia was Crown Jewel in Riyadh on October, 31, 2019. The event was surrounded in controversy following flight delays which kept WWE talent stranded in the country.

It’s unknown if WWE plans to keep a portion of the roster stateside for Friday Night SmackDown the next night.

WWE has an agreement with the General Sports Authority to run two events in the Kingdom yearly until 2028.
