WWE Passes On Signing ROH World Champion

Ring Of Honor World Champion RUSH recently had an offer on the table from WWE, but his asking price was reportedly too high for the company.

According to Wrestling Inc., WWE was in talks with RUSH to join the promotion, with AAA acting as a representative during the negotiations. WWE reportedly turned down the offer as his asking price was too high.

The report notes WWE offering lower guarantees is a continuing trend to signed and unsigned talent. This falls in line with a recent report indicating Retribution members received lower than expected deals when they signed main roster contracts last summer.

It is believed RUSH has either come to terms or re-signed with Ring Of Honor. He currently holds the ROH World Championship, retaining the title during last month’s Final Battle pay-per-view.
