WWE is planning on pairing Rey Mysterio and his son Dominick for a match at Wrestlemania 36.

According to Dave Meltzer in the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, Dominick Gutierrez is planning to start training at the WWE Performance Center in 2020.

The company is hoping Dominick will be ready to team with his father at Wrestlemania 36 in Tampa.

Dominick Gutierrez (the son of Mysterio) is supposed to start training next year at the Performance Center. I know that WWE was hopeful he could team with his father by early next year, with Mania as a target

Mysterio spoke with the Mexican publication MARCO and states that Dominick will begin training in Orlando to “learn the style of the company”.

Dominick trained for three months with Lance Storm at his Storm Wrestling Academy in 2018.
