WWE Wants Kairi Sane To Remain On Company Payroll

Kairi Sane is set to return to Japan, she reportedly worked her final television tapings this past Monday in Orlando, FL.

Although she is returning to Japan, WWE is hoping they can retain her services with the company, preventing her from working for other promotions.

According to Fightful Select (subscription required), WWE has pitched “several ideas to keep her on the payroll”. Some ideas include having her as an ambassador for the company in Japan, as well as a trainer. The reason for this is to keep her away from other promotions.

WWE has made a big effort to retain Kairi, and pitched several ideas to keep her on the payroll, and more specifically, away from other companies. Many of these ideas included her returning to Japan to work in a variety of capacities from an ambassador to a trainer.

Kairi Sane is confirmed to be on next week’s episode of RAW, which was pre-taped this past Monday.

Dave Meltzer noted recently, original plans had Sane being attacked by Natalya, which would write her off television. Natalya has been off television for several weeks, and Shayna Baszler has been brought in to likely fill that role.

As of this writing it’s unknown if an injury angle was taped for next week’s episode. All that is known is that she will be making an appearance.

In January 2012, Kairi Sane, then known as Kairi Hojo debuted for World Wonder Ring Stardom. She worked for the promotion for five years, capturing the World of Stardom Championship once, as well as the Goddess Of Stardom Champion and Artist of Stardom Champion multiple times.
