Roman Reigns has opened up publicly regarding his status for Wrestlemania 36.

The WWE star took to Instagram Live speaking on the news that he pulled out of Wrestlemania.

“You already know whats going on, it’s all over the news, the dirt sheets or whatever you want to call them, that I pulled out of Wrestlemania.” Reigns stated. It’s funny because for years people were like ‘Don’t show up to Wrestlemania, we don’t want you in it’. There’s a nice handful of dudes and haters who didn’t want me in it, but the moment I make a choice for me and my family, I’m a coward, I’m a sissy”

Reigns specifically didn’t give a reason behind the absence, but did indicate the story may be much deeper than his own health.

“You don’t know the whole story, all you know is what you think. You don’t know wha’s going on in my life, you don’t know if I have newborns, you don’t know if I have older family.”

Triple H spoke on Reigns’ Wrestlemania status during an interview with SportsCenter, indicating that talent have the choice whether to work events, and nothing will be held against them.

During the Wrestlemania 36 tapings Braun Strowman replaced Reigns, challenging for the WWE Universal Championship against Goldberg.

WWE has yet to officially announce Strowman as Reigns replacement.
