WWE Announces Release Of Steve Cutler

Thomas Maclin, better known to WWE fans as Steve Cutler has been released by WWE.

WWE issued a statement Thursday evening, revealing his departure from the company.

WWE has come to terms on the release of Steve Cutler. We wish him all the best in his future endeavors.

Steve Cutler signed with WWE in 2014, spending a number of years in developmental as a singles wrestler. In 2017, Cutler began teaming with Wesley Blake, forming The Forgotten Sons. The duo was then joined by Jaxson Ryker the following year.

The Forgotten Sons joined the main roster in 2020, working under the SmackDown banner. The group was taken off television for several months.

The group was removed from WWE television shortly after Jaxson Ryker tweeted his support for President Donald Trump, who hours before threatened military force against protesters across the U.S in the wake of George Floyd’s murder. This tweet caught backlash from numerous WWE talent, some who were vocal on social media.

In the tail end of the year, Cutler and Blake were transitioned into a stable with King Corbin, under the name The Knights Of The Lone Wolf. They only appeared on television a handful of times.

Jaxson Ryker eventually returned to television, forming an alliance with RAW star Elias.

Plans for Wesley Blake are unknown at the time of this writing.
