Three championship matches are set for the October 30 episode of SmackDown.
According to WrestlingNews.co, the matches were made official on the October 23 episode of SmackDown in Ontario, California. The October 30 show will come from the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia, one day before Halloween, and it will be billed as Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown, with Danhausen hosting.
Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn will defend against Trick Williams. Williams confronted Zayn in the opening segment on October 23 and demanded a title match, and the match was made after the show’s main event picture played out. The winner moves on to Crown Jewel on November 7, where Zayn is scheduled to face Roman Reigns.
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green will defend against Nikki Bella. Green retained her title against Roxanne Perez on October 23, and Bella has been pushing for a title shot for weeks. The winner moves on to Crown Jewel as well, where Green is scheduled to face Liv Morgan.
AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix will defend against Ricky Saints. Fenix and Saints have been circling each other for weeks, and the title match gives their issue a championship stakes heading into Crown Jewel weekend.
What is confirmed is the three matches, the host, and the Charleston date. What is not confirmed is whether any of the titles change hands before Crown Jewel, which would change the Crown Jewel card itself.
