Three championships will be on the line on SmackDown tonight.
WWE presents a Halloween edition of Friday Night SmackDown from the Charleston Coliseum in Charleston, West Virginia. The show airs at 8 p.m. ET on USA Network in the United States and on Netflix internationally. Danhausen will host the show, which WWE is billing as Danhausen’s Very Nice, Very Evil SmackDown.
In the main title match, Undisputed WWE Champion Sami Zayn defends against Trick Williams. Williams is the current United States Champion, and he has never beaten Zayn one on one on television. The winner of this match is set to face World Heavyweight Champion Roman Reigns at Crown Jewel on November 7 for the men’s Crown Jewel Championship.
WWE Women’s Champion Chelsea Green defends against Nikki Bella. Green won the title recently and defended it against Roxanne Perez last week. The winner of this match is set to face Women’s World Champion Liv Morgan at Crown Jewel for the women’s Crown Jewel Championship.
The third title match sees AAA World Cruiserweight Champion Rey Fenix defend against Ricky Saints. Fenix and Saints have been going back and forth in recent weeks, and this is their latest meeting with the championship on the line.
WWE is also advertising Cody Rhodes, CM Punk, Kevin Owens, Jade Cargill and Miss Money in the Bank Tiffany Stratton for the show. Gunther said in a WWE digital exclusive that he will be at the show as well, continuing his recent issues with Danhausen.
Crown Jewel is now just eight days away, so tonight’s results will shape both Crown Jewel Championship matches. If either champion loses tonight, the Crown Jewel card will change with it.
What is confirmed is the card, the start time, and the Crown Jewel stakes for the two WWE title matches. What is not confirmed is who will leave Charleston with the championships, or how the rest of the show will play out.
