Triple H recently spoke with Gary Cassidy of Sportskeeda ahead of NXT Takeover: Blackpool II. One topic that was brought up was the rumors surrounding the potential in-ring returns of Paige and Edge.

Triple H didn’t deny or confirm rumours, but did state he would love to see both return to in-ring competition. He did however state that health comes first, and discussed the road Daniel Bryan took to get himself cleared.

“That would be personal choice for them… No, I shouldn’t say that. Personal choice would be a part of it, then medical choice for the other part.” Triple H stated. “If we believe it is not in your best interest, we put the human being first, and their long-term health.”

If our medical experts say that they believe the person has done everything to rehab their situation, and are safe to get back into the ring, then we allow it.

Triple H spoke not only from an employer standpoint, but also as a fan.

“When you’re talking about people as talented as Edge and Paige, who wouldn’t want them to return?,” Triple H stated. “I’m a fan, just like everyone else, I’d love to see them step into the ring and compete.More important that that, I would like to see them live long and healthy lives.”

Edge signed a new deal with WWE last October according to Dave Meltzer of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter.

Last month PWInsider spoke on the possibility of Edge making an in-ring return.

According to chatter internally the belief is Edge is working towards making an in-ring return in the future.

Edge himself has denied rumors suggesting an in-ring return, but those behind the scenes believe a return is inventible.

Paige was medically disqualified from in-ring competition following an injury that occured at a WWE Live Event in 2017.

In 2019, she continued to suffer neck issues due to a hernia that did not heal. Her doctor recommended surgery, which caused her to miss appearances Summerslam weekend.

Paige is still on WWE programming, serving as a host on FS1’s WWE Backstage.
