NXT Talent Brought In Ahead Of WWE Draft

Top NXT names worked matches ahead of this week’s Friday Night SmackDown.

As earlier reported, WWE NXT Champion Karrion Kross and Scarlett, as well as NXT North American Champion Bronson Reed were at this week’s show, working untelevised matches.

In an update from PWInsider, Karron Kross faced Dolph Zigger, while Bronson Reed had a match with Robert Roode. There are no plans to televise the matches, and will be used “for future evaluation”.

One of the reasons they were brought in is due to the WWE Draft scheduled for September. WWE is looking at different NXT talents that can be brought into the main roster. The report notes others can be brought in in the upcoming weeks.

There was backstage chatter that Kross and Scarlett would be brought back next week, with the possibility to cut promos.
