WWE has extended Matt Hardy’s storyline with Randy Orton, despite him seemingly being written off television this past Monday on RAW.
Matt Hardy will face Randy Orton this Monday on RAW in Everett, Washington in a Street Fight. The match may be his last in WWE.
3 days ago, I suffered the worst head & neck trauma possible. A normal man would be out for months-I’m fighting Randy Orton on #RAW. My life & career are both currently in limbo. I also have a powerful, ancient spirit trying to possess me. I AM UNKILLABLE. https://t.co/qplBdm24SR

According to Pro Wrestling Sheet, WWE creative decided to extend the storyline another week, as it was received by fans.
Matt Hardy was offered a new WWE contract last week, but did not sign. His current deal with WWE expires on 3/1, and there is interest from other promotions.
Matt’s brother, Jeff is scheduled to arrive at the WWE Performance Center next week for a progress update on his injury.
