Starting this Wednesday, the black-and-gold brand will be getting a live virtual audience for the first time.

Ever since NXT relocated to the newly renamed ‘Capitol Wrestling Center, WWE implemented screens for virtual fans throughout the arena. Despite this, NXT used pre recorded material from Raw, SmackDown and PPVs instead of having a live virtual audience.

However this is set to change, as WWE have sent out emails to a limited amount of fans, presumably those who use the ThunderDome frequently, with a signup form for this Wednesday’s NXT live virtual audience.

NXT will also be using a different website to control the virtual audience, called 1iota.com, which also hosts virtual audiences for ‘The Voice USA’ and ‘The View’ among other shows.

It isn’t currently known if more fans will be able to access the virtual audience in the coming weeks, or if the virtual audience will operate in a similar way to the ThunderDome.

This Wednesday’s NXT on USA Network will see the opening rounds of the Dusty Rhodes Classic, Including Undisputed Era vs Breezango and Ever Rise vs Grizzled Young Veterans.
