WWE’s is expected to move their weekly NXT programming off the WWE Network to cable television, with an announcement being made soon.

PWInsider added additional details to the original story indicating that there are some within WWE who believe the deal is done, and it’s just a matter of time before an announcement is made. WWE had interest from FOX to air the program on FS1, but over the last several weeks USA came to the table.

NXT staff were told this past week in Florida to begin preparing for a longer show, and things would begin changing very soon. WWE’s internal calendar lists NXT tapings at Full Sail for 9/11, 9/12, and 10/24. One source indicated that the company could easily go live at the 9/11 tapings, then tape another episode on 9/12.

If WWE decides to go live beginning in September, it would give them a head start on the ‘Wednesday Night Wars’, as All Elite Wrestling plans to air its first live TNT show on 10/2.

Current plans list WWE airing 8-10 PM ET every Wednesday from Full Sail University.
