Vince McMahon is looking to shake things up once again.

According to the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, WWE is planning another draft to decide permanent rosters for RAW and SmackDown this fall.

“Right now there is a concept of another draft type of thing to build permanent Raw and Smackdown rosters,” Meltzer stated. “What we were originally told is that they wouldn’t be making major changes, but some changes, but this is Vince. Everything is being kept quiet and USA and FOX will be the first to know when the concept is decided. “

The big question is whether NXT talent will be on RAW to build their names once the company moves the show to USA Network next month. Triple H wants to build NXT as a separate entity, and if stars are utilized on RAW it could interfere with his vision.

“It was described that Paul Levesque’s dream of creating a legitimate third brand of his own just came true,” Meltzer stated. “Now he has to play defense to keep Vince and Kevin Dunn’s influence away”.

WWE held a SuperStar Shake-up this past April, which ended up not sticking due to the Wild Card Rule being implemented,

WWE stopped mentioning the Wild Card Rule, but talent from RAW and SmackDown have been featured on both shows. Once the move to FOX takes place, a hard split between both brands is expected.
