WWE has pulled several NXT UK stars from an up-coming Southside Wrestling event.

Southside Wrestling issued a statement indicating WWE pulled talent, which was detrimental to the show, which will be their last event.

Cody Rhodes caught wind of the situation, and is headed to Southside Wrestling alongside Brandi, MJF, and Shawn Spears to makeup for WWE pulling out.

According to PWInsider, NXT talents being pulled from the show is due to Southside Wrestling merging with Revolution Pro Wrestling.

Several weeks ago, there was an incident at a Revolution Pro show where a referee was legitimately attacked by two performers. The referee suffered injuries, and will not be able to perform his duties due to the attack

Revolution Pro will be in charge of the final Southside Wrestling event, and WWE does not want any of their contracted performers to appear due to the incident that occurred weeks ago. Some speculated that Revolution Pro’s relationship with New Japan Pro Wrestling was the cause of WWE pulling talent, but that does not seem to be the case.

WWE does not want any talent in an environment that could be unsafe and prevent them from performing at up-coming NXT events.

Ligero, Kay Lee Ray, Joseph Connors, Xia Brookside, Ilja Draganov and Saxton Huxley were all pulled from the event.
