According to court documents obtained by HeelByNature.com, WWE settled the lawsuit out of court for an undisclosed amount of money. Romero’s counsel issued a settlement notice on 12/7, advising the court to dismiss the case.
According to the complaint, “Romero is a visually-impaired and legally blind person who requires screen-reading software to read website content using his computer”.
Romero’s lawsuit alleged shop.wwe.com “is not equally accessible to blind and visually-impaired consumers”. The lawsuit says this violates the ADA(Americans With Disabilities Act).
He was asking WWE to change its policies to ensure the website is accessible to blind and visually-impaired consumers. He was seeking costs and expenses for attorney fees, and demanded a trial by jury.
