WWE Worlds Collide will be replacing NXT Takeover the day before the 2020 Royal Rumble.

WWE has released details on travel packages for the 2020 Royal Rumble, and has replaced NXT Takeover with Worlds Collide on Saturday January 25, 2020 from the Toyota Center in Houston, TX.

WWE presented a World’s Collide tournament during Royal Rumble Axxess in 2019, and aired it on the WWE Network a few weeks following the taping. The 2019 tournament featured stars from NXT, NXT UK, and 205 Live rosters.

It’s unknown if WWE is discontinuing NXT Takeover events, or having them as standalone events taking place separate from a main roster pay-per-view weekend.
