WWE Wraps Up Filming For ‘The Main Event’ Netflix Movie

WWE has wrapped up filming for their feature film The Main Event in Vancouver, BC.

According to PWInsider, NXT star Babatunde has been cast of the lead villain in the movie. Keith Lee will also have a large role in the movie, which one source believes he may get a big push with the release of the film.

The film is baded on an original screenplay by Larry Postel, and features WWE stars Kofi Kingston, The Miz, Sheamus, Otis of Heavy Machinery, Beth Phoenix, and Mauro Ranallo. Other stars cast for the film include Seth Carr (“Black Panther”), Tichina Arnold (“The Neighborhood,” “Everybody Hates Chris”), Ken Marino (“The Other Two,” “Black Monday,” “Bad Milo”) and Adam Pally (“Middle School: The Worst Years of My Life,” “The Mindy Project”).

The movie follows an 11-year-old  who discovers a magical mask and enters a competition to become the next WWE Superstar.

The film will air exclusively on Netflix sometime in 2020.
