Stardom Looking To Bring Back Big Names For 10th Anniversary Show

Despite moving back to Japan to be with her husband, former NXT Women’s Champion Kairi Sane is still under contract to WWE. This means Sane has been unable to appear in other promotions which she used to perform in before joining WWE, such as Stardom.

The Wrestling Observer reports that Sane recently visited WWE’s Japanese Office for approval of an appearance at Stardom’s 10th Anniversary show at Budokan Hall on 3/3, however it was noted that this didn’t go anywhere. Further details on the conversation between Sane and WWE have not been revealed.

Other plans include trying to bring back stars from the past, most notably Kairi Hojo (Sane) who is now married and living in Japan. Hojo is still under contract to WWE and she went to the Japanese WWE office for help in approving doing an appearance on the show but this got nowhere

Shortly after moving back to Japan, Kairi announced on Twitter that she had become an ambassador for WWE. This led to speculation of a possible NXT Japan brand, however nothing has been announced as of yet.
