It’s no secret that WWE is looking to expand their global footprint. The company is reportedly looking to work with the oldest active pro-wrestling company in the world, CMLL.
In the latest edition of The Wrestling Observer Newsletter, it was reported that WWE is in talks with CMLL. This news comes after the death of CMLL owner Paco Alonso last month. Alonso’s daughter Sofia is currently in charge of the company.

CMLL has working agreements in place with New Japan Pro Wrestling and Ring Of Honor. CMLL’s biggest rival AAA has a working relationship with All Elite Wrestling, and an agreement with WWE would certainly shake things up between the real life rivalry in Mexico, as well as the “war” between WWE and AEW.
