Friday Night SmackDown Christmas Day Spoilers

WWE pre-taped this week’s episode of Friday Night SmackDown on Tuesday inside the WWE Thunderdome at Tropicana Field.

Below are full spoilers for the episode, which will air on Friday, December 25.

WWE Universal Championship: Roman Reigns vs. Kevin Owens (Steel Cage Match

The steel cage match opens the show. Reigns comes out first accompanied by Paul Heyman. Graves and Cole go through the rules of the Steel Cage Match. Owens makes his entrance and slams the cage door. Roman quickly takes control as the match begins. Owens escapes from Reigns and picks up some momentum mid-match. Roman hits a pretty cool leg drop during the match. Owens hits a fisherman buster from the top rope on Reigns and nearly gets the three count. Jey handcuffs Owens to the cage and Reigns escapes for the win. After the match Reigns sits on the steps and taunts the handcuffed Owens.

Charlotte and Asuka In-Ring Segment

Charlotte and Asuka come to the ring. Charlotte says Christmas has come early for SmackDown. Bayley interrupts and cuts a promo on Charlotte & Asuka. Sasha interrupts Bayley. Sasha accidentally drops the title on her way to the ring and Bayley laughs. Bianca interrupt and joins Sasha. Carmella interrupts Bianca and joins team Bayley. Carmella calls her opponents b*tches and a brawl erupts.

WWE Women’s Tag Team Championship: Charlotte Flair & Asuka vs. Carmella & Bayley vs. Sasha Banks & Bianca Belair(Triple Threat Elimination)

– Sasha Banks pins Bayley to eliminate her and Carmella. Bianca uses her hair to drag Sasha to the corner and make the tag. Bayley distracts Bianca, who gets hit with a natural selection for the 3 count. Charlotte and Asuka retain.

Street Profits Backstage Segment

– Street Profits shown backstage hyping up the rest of the show. Sami interrupts and complains about his match and is handed an ‘I Was The Intercontinental Champion’ shirt.

Daniel Bryan vs. Jey Uso

– Daniel Bryan makes his way to the ring but Jey Uso jumps him from behind. Their match begins and Jey Uso takes control straight away. Bryan defeats Jey via pinfall.

WWE Intercontinental Championship: Big E vs. Sami Zayn (Lumberjack Match)

The main event of the evening is the Lumberjack Match for the WWE Intercontinental Championship. The ring is surrounding by members of the SmackDown roster. The final moments of the match feature a brawl between the lumberjacks, and Sami Zayn attempting to make an escape. Apollo Crews stops him from leaving. Big E hit the Big Ending and wins the WWE Intercontinental Championship for the second time in his career. The babyface lumberjacks celebrate with Big E as we go off air.
