WWE spanish-language announcer Jerry Soto has been officially released by the company.

As first reported by Super Luchas, Soto was furloughed by WWE this past April, but was formally terminated on 11/6 alongside numerous other employees, including longtime ring announcer Tony Chimel.

In a statement, Soto stated the following (translated from Spanish to English)

Hi. Officially, I don’t have a job. I’m taking a bit of your time to tell you that I’ve been on furlough since March. Now, the time has come to get another job, preferably acting . I write it here so that you have me in mind with employment opportunities. Thanks for your time. It is not the end, but another beginning. If you’ve lost your job too, patience, joy and strength, and everyone, a disinfected hug!

Soto last appeared on WWE programming during the 3/19 episode of WWE En Español. He signed with WWE in 2011.
