Stomping Grounds PPV To Replace Backlash

WWE will debut a new PPV this June titled “Stomping Grounds”.

The event will take place on Sunday June 23 from the Tacoma Dome in Tacoma, WA. The event will replace the Backlash PPV which was originally scheduled for June 16 in San Diego.

The change in date was due to the WWE having a planned PPV in Saudi Arabia on June 7. The event in San Diego is now scheduled to be a live event.

WWE filed a trademark for the name “WWE Stomping Grounds” earlier this month.

Local advertising for the event states Roman Reigns will face Randy Orton. This match is most likely a placeholder until an actual card is finalized.

Tickets for WWE Stomping Grounds go on sale on Friday May 3 at 10 am at the Heritage Bank Box Office and ticketmaster.com
