Impact announced today that they have signed a U.S television deal with Pursuit Channel. The deal is not exclusive according to PWInsider.

The deal with Pursuit is simply a placeholder as Impact works on securing a larger deal contract with another network. If Impact does not score another deal, they essentially have Pursuit to fall back on. Anthem Entertainment, the parent company of Impact is a partner with Pursuit, hence why they decided to move there for the time being.

Impact Wrestling had the chance to continue airing on PopTV, which reportedly were paying them a fee of $1 million per year, plus an ad split of an addition $1-2 million. PopTV is shifting their their focus, and Impact feels that a move would be best for all parties.

Impact was in talks recently with TruTV, WGN, and SyFy, and details of if those discussions are continuing is currently unknown.

Pursuit has limited availability, and it’s expected that the program will reach lesser viewers for that reason. The company will air Impact at 10PM ET on Friday night’s.

Pursuit is a sister station of The Fight Network in Canada, which is owned by Anthem Entertainment, and will air Impact Wrestling at 10PM on Friday night’s as well.

Impact will be taping their first episode on 1/7 at the Nashville Fairgrounds, with an air-date of 1/11.
