Kenny Omega is not planning on signing a new contract with New Japan Pro Wrestling. The 35 year old spoke to Tokyo Sports, and stated he is exiting the company.

Kenny spoke on leaving New Japan, and praised Hiroshi Tanhashi who defeated him at Wrestle Kingdom 13 this past Friday.

There is no real place for me (in NJPW). Now it’s time for Tanahashi. If we can, I would like a rematch in the future. But I need time away, and not just from New Japan. I need time to create a different strategy.

Kenny did not comment on which promotion he will sign with next,  but did state that fans would be pleased to see him in both WWE, and the new startup All Elite Wrestling alongside Cody and The Young Bucks.

“If I go to WWE, the fans there will be pleased, and the fans will be happy if I go to AEW. I want to be in a place where I am going to be happy”

Omega stated his contract is expiring at the end of January, and he has not confirmed what his next move is. It is expected that he signs with either WWE or All Elite Wrestling.

The WWE has offered Kenny Omega a fantastic deal, and it’s unknown whether he has accepted it. We do also know All Elite Wrestling is looking to sign many stars to large deals, and his relationship with The Elite could have join the new startup.

For now we will have to play the waiting game, and see what Kenny Omega’s next move. Will it be WWE, or will it be All Elite Wrestling?
