Roman Reigns made the decision to step away from WWE during the current global health crisis.
According to Fightful Select (subscription required), a high level source in WWE indicates Roman Reigns is no longer factored into creative plans within the company.
The source also stated, Reigns “does not seem in any rush to return, and nobody here faults him for it.”
Another source noted that even if WWE stops paying Roman Reigns, he continues to make money, stating he makes over thousand dollars a day on the video messaging service Cameo. Reigns is charging fans $350 per video message.
The report states that there is no indication that Roman Reigns has been pressured to return to WWE.
Several higher ups in the company were also not told why Reigns was edited out of a recent Seth Rollins cash-in video package.
One noted that it was an “out of sight, out of mind” situation, while another understood as to why many would read more into it.
