WWE could possibly move their weekly NXT show on USA to a another night.

According to Wrestlevotes, over the last month discussions have occurred internally regarding NXT changing nights. The report indicates no decision has been made, but talks are ongoing.

Fighful Select (subscription required) has added some information to the report, indicating USA Network had “thrown out the idea of NXT moving to Tuesday nights”. This pitch was made a couple months ago according to the report.

NXT aired this week on Tuesday, and will do so next week as well. Those close to the network say that these can be seen as a “test run”, despite the fact that NHL playoffs caused the switch in dates.

USA Network has a good relationship with WWE, but those spoken to state “they aren’t as committed to the “competition” aspect of NXT on Wednesday night considering it costs them viewers.”

If WWE does decide to move to Tuesday night’s, it may hurt IMPACT! on AXS, which moved to Tuesday night’s beginning late last year.

As further details are known, an update will be provided.
