Renee Young Has Lengthy Non-Compete Clause
Since leaving WWE, Renee Young has been open about her experiences within the company she several years working for.
In a recent interview with Richard Deitsch of Sports Media podcast, Young revealed that she was able to leave WWE on short notice due to being an employee with the company, and not under talent contract.
II wasn’t under a talent contract, I was an employee, so I only had to give a two week notice for this job I was doing forever, it felt really bizarre.
She also revealed she will be going under her maiden name Renee Paquette professionally, rather than her government name Renee Good. She spent several years as a television personality in Canada under her maiden name.
While she didn’t reveal what’s next for her professionally, she did state she is still under contract with FOX, and doesn’t want to abandon wrestling entirely.
“I have built up such a great resume, and a great fan base.” she stated. All this knowledge about professional wrestling, for me to just fully abandon that and try a different career, and do something new seems a little foolish.”
Following her departure from WWE, speculation that she would end up in All Elite Wrestling began circulating throughout the wrestling world. However, if she does plan to work for another wrestling company she will have to wait a significant amount of time.
She didn’t want to reveal the exact length of her non-compete clause due to possible legal reasons, but did state it is around 1-year in length.
Under a year? It’s in an around a neighbour of that area. Am I legally bound by anything by saying that?
