Backstage News On First Ever TLC Women’s Triple Threat Match
WWE will host it’s first ever Triple Threat TLC match in on 12/16. The original announcement had Becky Lynch vs. Charlotte Flair in a singles match for the WWE Smackdown Women’s Championship, but that was quickly changed into a Triple Threat Match with Asuka added to the mix.
In the latest edition of the Wrestling Observer Newsletter, the reasoning behind Asuka’s addition to the match isn’t due to the WWE wanting Becky Lynch to be be protected due to her recent concussion, as the WWE has a rule that if you are cleared, you are cleared. The Triple Threat Match gives them a way out of the finish without having to comprise plans for Becky Lynch and Charlotte for early 2019.
