WWE Has Key Qualities It’s Looking For In Future Signings
WWE had many larger-than-life stars in the past, such as Hulk Hogan, The Ultimate Warrior, and The Undertaker, however, as time has gone on the company has begun to focus on a wider range of talents.
WWE has tryouts coming up in August as part of SummerSlam week where they will be looking for their next set of Superstars to sign to the roster. The company could be looking for specific qualities in their next signees though.
The Wrestling Observer noted that WWE is wanting younger talents as part of the tryouts, between the ages of 20 and 27. The general rule is that men should be at least 220 pounds and 6 foot tall, however, exceptions will be made for exceptionally good talents.
There is also a heavy emphasis on WWE signing more young African-American and Hispanic talents, creating a larger ethnic diversity on their rosters. They are also wanting to sign more wrestlers from China, India, and the Middle East, as WWE feels they are the future of big-money media deals.
WWE’s recent signings have seen some of this come into effect, with The Wrestling Observer adding that Bronson Rechsteiner (the son of Rick Steiner), Drew and Jacob Kasper, Bobby Stevenson, and Parker Boudreaux were all praised as ‘real athletes’, and how well they are picking up WWE.
