NXT 2.0 could be changing to TV-14 in the near future.
Ever since NXT dropped their signature black and gold theming for the more colorful and vibrant look of NXT 2.0 in September, the gimmicks and overall structure of the show also changed.
As well as this, the shows have become more edgier, with wrestlers beginning to swear more on television – something which is rare in WWE. This has led to fans questioning the TV rating of NXT,
According to WrestleVotes on Twitter, the original plans for NXT 2.0 was that the show would change from being TV-PG to TV-14. While this hasn’t yet come into effect, the idea is reportedly still ‘very much on the table’, with USA Network not being opposed.
Within the origins of this NXT 2.0 concept was an idea that the programs rating would shift from TV-PG to TV-14. Source confirms that’s still very much on the table and USA Network is not opposed. If / when WWE decides to make the change is TBD.

What this could mean for NXT 2.0 isn’t fully clear, whether it’s the continuation of bad language, more detailed relationship storylines, more blood used in matches or something else.
The changes made to NXT haven’t improved the show’s viewership, with only two increases since the 2.0 revamp came into effect in September.
