UFC fighter Michael Chandler has teased an appearance on the November 4 edition of NXT.
According to Fightful, Chandler recently posted a social media message directed at NXT General Manager Robert Stone. Chandler said that if Stone needed somebody to keep a little order during the Unsanctioned Match between Dion Lennox and Cruz Montana, he should let him know.
Stone responded to Chandler’s post, saying, “Your making this too easy for me @MikeChandlerMMA.”
The November 4 NXT show airs on Wednesday instead of its usual Tuesday slot because of election coverage on The CW. That puts NXT directly against AEW Dynamite, which will present its Blood and Guts special that same night.
The card for November 4 already includes the Unsanctioned Match between Lennox and Montana, the Dusty Rhodes Tag Team Classic final between Noam Dar and Romeo Moreno against Hank and Tank, and appearances by John Cena and Cody Rhodes. Rhodes will present the trophy to the winners of the Dusty Classic.
Chandler has a history with WWE programming, having appeared on Raw in the past and having ties to several WWE stars. He has not been announced for NXT, and his post was a tease, not a confirmed booking.
What is confirmed is Chandler’s post, Stone’s response, and the November 4 card announced so far. What is not confirmed is whether Chandler will actually appear on the show, or in what role he would appear if he does.
