AEW Fires Willie Urbina After Mocking Asian Accents
All Elite Wrestling has fired Spanish announcer Willie Urbina following an incident that occurred during Friday’s special edition of AEW Dynamite.
Prior to a segment commemorating Hikaru Shida’s 1-Year reign as Women’s World Champion, Urbina was caught on a hot mic mocking Asian accents. The incident was streamed on FITE during a commercial break.
Dave Meltzer confirmed the news, tweeting “Willie Urbina was let go by AEW.”.
The following clip gained momentum on social media following the incident.
