Extreme Violence and Profanity Will Not Be Seen On Weekly Television
All Elite Wrestling fans will not be getting intergender wrestling, or extreme violence once their weekly program airs on TNT this fall.
Tony Khan spoke to the media following AEW’s Fyter Fest last night, and stated that he has no plans on offering intergender matches. Khan referenced last year’s ALL IN event, which was produced by Cody Rhodes and the Young Bucks. He stated as a fan of the event, there was two things he wasn’t fond of. One being Joey Ryan’s “Penis Druids”, and the other being Jordynne Grace getting hit int he face during the pre-show battle royal.
“I really didn’t like when Jordynne Grace was hit in the face,” Khan stated. “I’m really against domestic violence, and I’m not saying that it is, but it’s a really complex question. It’s probably something that we’re not going to do, we will focus on the men’s division, and a women’s division.”
Khan was also asked about the hardcore violence and profanity shown during the Fyter Fest event. He stated that this is something we will not see on the television program once it begins to air on TNT.
Finally, Khan also spoke about the harcore violence, bloodshed and profanity that went on throughout the show. He strongly stated all of that would not be nearly as present on the television product.
“This was not TV, this was a streaming show. It was effectively a pay-per-view in a lot of the world” Khan stated. “You can expect different rules for pay-per-view. We will not offer that that on TNT.”
