Wrestling fans are always happy when their favorite wrestlers make an appearance on regular TV shows. In most cases, they are usually there to play any role that needs a big muscular guy, like a bodyguard or wrestler.
Knowing a thing or two about quality Entertainment, Canada’s favorite casino games provider JackpotCity online casino, presents 5 of the most liked wrestlers’ TV cameos!

Bret The Hitman Hart

TV Series: The Simpsons

The Simpsons was one of the biggest shows on TV in the 90s (probably still is). In this regard, it was an excellent deal for celebrities to make guest appearances. To date, Bret Hart remains the only wrestler to appear on the show, more so in a speaking role.

It is also almost implausible because of the timing. WWE was having a down moment at that time, and many would expect other top stars like John Cena to be the go-to wrestling stars. Initially, Bret was to voice any everyday wrestler, but the producers changed it up after realizing how famous Bret was.
Needless to say, Bret Hart remains one of the most iconic and widely popular wrestlers ever.

Edge

TV Series: The Flash

Edge, whose real name is Adam Copeland, appeared in the popular TV show The Flash. He appeared in the episode “The Man Who Saved Central City.” Edge featured as AI Rothstein and his Earth -2 counterpart, The Atom Smasher.

After he had retired from wrestling, Edge made this appearance and was becoming more involved in his acting career. Wrestling fans also got the chance to see him back in the ring at Wrestlemania in 2020 when he faced Randy Orton. Edge has also appeared on Haven as a character named Dwight.

Steve Austin

TV Show: Nash Bridges

Steve Austin underwent neck surgery, and while he was recovering, WWE found him a role on Nash Bridges. Austin featured Jake Cage, a rebel cop who rode on a motorcycle. Jake worked in Fugitive Retrieval, and his role involved beating people up as required by the plot.

His character was fascinating, making him very popular that there were rumors which Austin confirmed that a spin-off starring the character was in the offing. However, that never really happened because Austin’s recovery meant he had to resume his wrestling career.

The Rock

TV Series: Star Trek Voyager

Dwayne Johnson, also known as The Rock, has transcended the wrestling world to establish himself as one of the most electrifying persons in the world of entertainment. However, his successful acting career began with cameos on multiple TV shows like the Star Trek: Voyager episode “Tsunkatse.”

In Star Trek Voyager, The Rock plays the role of a Pendari fighter. In this role, he plays an intergalactic version of the Rock in the ring. His entrance raises everyone’s eyebrows, and he even bursts out his Rock Bottom signature move.

Roddy Piper

TV Show: It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia

Another Canadian household name, Roddy Piper made an appearance as The Maniac in the cult series It’s Always Sunny In Philadelphia. The gang enlists The Maniac as their trainer when they decide to host a wrestling show for the troops. Unfortunately, the police arrest The Maniac.

However, it turns out that The Maniac is actually a legitimate maniac. This uproarious turn of events proved so popular that Roddy Piper returned as the character in a later episode. Sadly, he passed away in 2015.
