Adam Cole reportedly told WWE that he would not be giving up his Twitch.
Adam Cole is no longer with WWE after his contract extension expired last week, however he reportedly made it clear to WWE that he would not be giving up his Twitch account, per Fightful Select.
Adam Cole has amassed a following of over 70,000 on his Twitch account ‘The Chugs’, which he uses to stream along with regular appearances on WWE’s UpUpDownDown channel.
An edict was released by WWE last year preventing superstars from using third party platforms. This included Twitch, however a number of NXT wrestlers continued to stream on the platform, which made it unclear to whether the rule only applied to main roster Superstars.
Prior to his exit from WWE, Cole reportedly met with Vince McMahon backstage to discuss his future, with pitches for Raw and SmackDown being prepared should he re-sign.
Fightful Select (subscription required) noted that the situation was ‘non-negotiable’ for Cole, with higher-ups not being excited to discuss it as they didn’t have much leverage.
While Cole’s future is currently unknown, various AEW wrestlers including Britt Baker and Kenny Omega have dropped teasers on the former NXT Champion possibly becoming All Elite.
