More details have been revealed on New Japan Pro-Wrestling’s secret television taping that took place Saturday in California.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports the Lion’s Break Collision tapings were held in Port Hueneme, CA at the Oceanville Pavillion.
Dave Marquez’s Championship Wrestling from Hollywood were assisting with the event, overseeing production during the taping.
Former MLW Champion Tom Lawlor worked two matches, one against Alex Coughlin, and another against NJPW star Rocky Romero.
MLW teased Lawlor’s appearance on their website, indicating he was training for an inter-promotional appearance
Sources close to league officials believe a deal is done for the former MLW World Heavyweight Champion to represent MLW on an upcoming card promoted by an undisclosed Japanese promotion.
Ring Of Honor, who has a working relationship with New Japan also had one match on the card.
Brody King faced Tyler Bateman in a match that is scheduled to air on a future episode of Ring Of Honor television.
In total 11 matches were taped during the event.
